A local friend named Jorge allowed us to borrow his quad and explore. The boys had plenty of fun ...and so did Dad
Jorge and the Quad drivers

The tide came in the surf was the highest possible due to a full moon and the water brought in by the surf housed a migrated Crocodile. Not something that's regularly seen in this part. None the less, it became something new to discover. On the way over to the estuary (I have no idea if I've spelled that correctly) Mom was telling me that there are stories of little local children standing at the edge of other estuaries and in a moment's notice one is snapped up. Lovely! says my sarcasm. I do not need added visualizations for my already overactive imagination. None the less, the reason I chose to be adventurous with the boys is because Mom/Gramma had told me that she's almost certain the lone crocodile has left AND otherwise, he's been more afraid of his views and he's obviously well fed with sea life that floats to him with the high tide.
Searching for a Crocodile with Grampa....The boys were intrigued. ... Mom wasn't
Our Beautiful Beach Babe
Other items I look forward to posting upon our return home:
Creatures all around us ... we had another run in with a spider that was less than desireable.
Iguanas

Termites Nest

Can you spot the iguana?

A Crocodile - perhaps similar to the one the boys were searching for. I prefer the distance of this one.

Other creatures that are totally desireable.
My favorite: a little baby gecko

A resident of our bathroom

This is the largest sand crab we found. He's in his threatening position.

The most precious baby monkies following their Parents through the trees.

An Armadillo in the shrubs outside

Regular, Ordinary, not so different, but always beautiful sunsets.

Our NEW found favorite ice cream. Seriously! it couldn't get any better. We were paying $1.20 US for this most amazing ice cream in our beach town. We then drove to the larger city for groceries and I found them for 60 cents. Hard on the waistline but easy on the pocket change. If only I can determine a way to get this local ice cream home...still pondering.

This was our past favorite ice cream treat

This is our new favorite.

Logan loved it too!

I found a local lady who custom creates swim suits for $20 US. She takes your design preference and sizing and makes it with the fabric you select. Her name is Margaret and she wanted to keep Sadie.

Sadie turned 6 months old on this vacation. Same old phrase; I'm not sure where the time has gone but none the less she had a VERY big day. It wasn't planned...just kinda happened. ...but she swam in the ocean for the first time and LOVED it, there was a community pasta party thanks to Sandra offering to feed us all and when all the evening bugs scared us inside we finished off with a bath infront of movie night.

We prepared thank you cards where the boys wrote their own names and flowers picked fresh from Gramma's garden. Thank you to Sandra for a yummy pasta dinner and thank you to Shannon for yummy sticky buns.

Sadie has been fun because of the feminine touch she brings to the vacation and for how small she is. The youngest we've ever traveled with were 18 month old babies. So it's been fun to see the amazing reception of our pastey white baby with blue eyes. The locals take her out of my arms and hug and kiss her.
Sadie in a different outfit every day! (Well not really. She mostly wore a diaper the whole time because it was so hot. But we were sure to bring lots of variety for her little clothes to have fun with all the new summer wardrobe we have yet to utilize at home).

Ready to cool off

Jolly Jumping by the pool in her PJs: this is the life.

Beach Babe

Does this qualify as an outfit? She often is found wearing nothing and sitting somewhere safe since she is not sitting on her own yet.

This is my favorite.

Keepin' Cool

A dress from Gramma.

Sadie & Syrie (two weeks apart in age). Syrie's Mom cut her hair because it was so plentiful. I would have liked to see it before.

A swim suit purchased years ago that we thought we would never use.

Beach Babe

Shade!!

The Gramma challenge. I appreciate the beauty of blossoms but I couldn't possibly name all of them. Can you? This is the first time I've ever taken pictures of flowers and I have to laugh because I used to make fun of those Grammas that did :)
Enjoy the Blossoms from the tropics.

The most interesting plant. It can be considered a giant pussy willow. It feels like a furry animal. And through petting it like an fuzzy pet (without notice) it bursts open and the seeds within are exposed. It was fun to watch. And similar to the effect of a Jack in the Box since you never know when
