Back to School
Straight into sports. Logan on the Senior Volleyball Team has his game opener at RDL.

We celebrated Sadie's 6th Birthday at the beach. And then came home for dinner.
Chase's first day of school came the week after the other kids.
Those fresh feelings from new experiences are so unique.
Can we freeze time? As I've experienced in the past, growth from this point on just starts to accelerate. One of his first centers he interacted with was the water table.
This is unique and memorable. It will officially be known as the second day of Preschool.
Preschooler: Homeward Bound.
After we dropped the kids off for their first day of school. We had a mini date to Tim Hortons. We had some time to kill.
When the snow rolls in, in September, us girls have a difficult time adjusting to the change. Flip flops stay strong.

Our backyard (with younger trees) only had one broken branch.
Upon our return to school, we arranged a beach birthday party for the fabulous twins. A most awesome hot weather day, right before the snow hit.
Here are the party goers. I think I gave them 2 days notice for the party when I checked how awesome the weekend weather would be. I said, "Hey! If I can plan a party in 2 days, you can surely attend one."

Chase's Preschool Class introduced a light table.
I just love the little 3 year old faces of discovery.
Chase had his "Special Day" where I volunteered in class and he helped provide the calendar information and the weather report.
Sadie starts a new dance class which she absolutely loves!
The boys went on a Father Son Camp. So the girls hit the town, had dinner and Sadie got her ears pierced! It was a truly memorable experience. Including the part where the lady did not use the earrings Sadie requested. Sadie was completely classy with her reaction though. She just kept saying to the lady, "It's okay, it's okay."
Will joined the largest team of flag football I have ever seen! He loved it!
Chase was my assistant as we repaired the vacuum. The youngest of the family is left to pick up the pieces at home.
Quinten did not want to run Cross Country. He said it was too much work. But at the last minute he joined in the race because the thrill of competition just couldn't be missed.
And with that, he placed fourth! My pride and joy could barely be contained. It's one thing to take a leap of faith and endure a difficult situation, it's another to be successful doing so! I love the victorious life lessons. The only push I gave was letting Quinten know I had packed his school jersey ... just. in. case. :)
September proved to throw us back into the race of life. With little time between one scheduled event to another, kids going in different directions and ... WHAT?! a broken down vehicle on the way to pick kids up from school! I wondered if we would fulfill the obligations of this particular day. I quickly received my answer as Dad/Grampa rolled up behind me (with his tools) 5 minutes later! This couldn't have been planned as well, even if I tried. I was back on the road in 20 minutes. The 7th spark plug had blown out.
We missed July & August date night. So we made September double date night! It was Vegas themed.
Where would we be without a Sunday serenade?
Oh, that's right. We'd be in peace and quiet.
He was incredibly loud.
Back to Cross Country. This time qualifying for Junior High Divisionals. Logan raced his heart out. He's still trying to perfect the conservation of energy vs. the overuse of it. Meaning, pacing yourself is a definite science.
Time for everyone's annual check-ups. Chase was very intrigued (that is, after he watched his brothers sail through the process with ease).
We made a short - work only - weekend to Montana. Colby found a lone flower blooming within excavated overturned earth

Those twins that we love so much turned 1!
It was a great celebration. I wanted to capture our super gifts in the background ... behind the super birthday twins.
We gather here. On Sundays. And it's lovely.

Sadie and I attended a Grade 1 field trip to the Leighton Centre. She found an artifact.

School bus trips are always a nice treat for this little lady.
Then there is errand boy. Whenever the siblings are at school, he is my sidekick to pick-up necessary supplies (as well as some unnecessary).

The annual City Wide Food Drive. With all we have going on, the only time to fit this project in was at sunset! We usually make short work of this project though. 385 houses served.
