Snow Day!

Thursday April 17, 2008 it was reported that the snow began to fall at 5am. This is what we saw at 7am. If you look closely, you can see a yellow dump truck in the yard by the back gate. Be sure to follow the progress of the dump truck.

At 8:30 am Environment Canada issues a snowfall warning for Calgary and surrounding region. This was a very calculated forcast .... tee hee.
9:30 am

Out the front:

10:30 am

11:30 am: Time to build a snowman!

All dressed a ready to go. This was the best winter day of 2008!

The snow was so soft and cushy. The boys loved running, jumping and sinking into it.

The boys and our recycled snow man :0)

Typical for Calgary weather ... this is 4:00pm the same day.

By 6pm the snowman's head had fallen off.
By Friday (next day) his belly was gone
By Saturday he was gone.
It really helped the twins understand the meaning of the song:
"Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman ....
In the sun he melted, melted, melted ..."
