NEW YEARS EVE CANDY CANE HUNT
It was so cute to watch the kids trek through the deep snow spending lengthy periods of time trying to stand [back] up.
Jackpot! hanging on the fence.
Anna was kind enough to appreciate the fact that the Candy Cane Elves were nice to hang the candy canes at low levels so the kids could reach. She told me so herself. I agreed with her and added that it's probably also because they are short. Anna responded very matter of factly: "Well, Elves are short."
Cooper
But the real question was: Did we get them all? I asked the boys to look out the window on New Years Day and analyze the situation. Here is the result.
No really, here is the result! Will ducked out of cartoons (which he loves), went to the back hall and suited up in less than 5 seconds (which he NEVER does) and granted himself access to the backyard. This was the result.
Now we know we could have kept Mayson from her frustrations if only we'd gotten organized with flash lights.
More Holiday Fun:
What would the holiday be without Homemade Root Bear?
My thoughts: A Holiday with A&W Rootbeer.
Gaming
Shhh! The twins think their gaming with their non-connected VTECH controllers. Tee Hee.
Family Gaming on New Years with Sadie right smack in the middle of it all.
More sledding?
Well kinda: We have a large pile of snow off the side of our deck. Logan was taking running leaps from the deck to the snow pile and into the yard.
Finally, the annual tradition of a gingerbread house.
This year we decided to be less structured ... eat what you want ... decorate to your imagination. And here is the slippery depleted supply result.
