kIdS dAy!!!

Shhhhh! Do not tell anyone but Kids Day at the Calgary Stampede is the most incredible day to visit Calaway Park.
We would walk off a ride and walk right back on again. For this reason we all enjoyed a great dose of adrenaline.

First thing was a visit to a leisurely drive in the country.
Quick switch of drivers
This is about as exciting as it gets for Sadie.

On the other hand, we sent Auntie on the boat for a nice warm-up. Logan isn't as keen on rides but we're breakin' him in. Will is our adrenaline junkie and Ryan is planning for our trip to Six Flags.

Will comes by it naturally I'm afraid.
Great faces little buddies.

Even better!

On the other hand, this is the story of Sadie's life:
It states: Sorry, you cannot ride (the roller coaster :)
I look up from one of our super-fun fantastic rides and feel a little sad that Miss. Independant is hangin' in the caboose of the train (on her own). Proud as can be of course.

And she was quite serious as she was sure she was driving the truck around the track. It was difficult to get her attention as she was so focussed on the road (track).
Side Story: The boys have a basketball hoop in front of our house. The only problem is that 3 boys need a mini basketball to make it to the hoop. We searched Walmart, Canadian Tire etc. and had no luck. THEN Ryan found a carnival game. He played the game and scored a new mini ball. It was so easy, he did it again. We are hooked up.
The Roller Coaster. Even this ride was easy access. The guys running it just asked if we wanted to ride again .... because no one was in line. Amanda rode 6 times.

The story of the park visit.
Logan's first ride on the coaster!
It took a number of persuasive speeches to get him there.
Will (by the way) was totally bummed he couldn't go (not tall enough of course).
Here HE is! Not exactly lovin' it. Tee Hee.
And After. He now talks about going again. He said it wasn't even that scarey.
The Grand Finale. Cotton Candy!!!
Need we say more?

The face only a mother could love.
The Calgary Stampede is "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth"
But this one was pretty good too.

That blue ride with the green and red "cars" is the best one! And you told me the story of Logan and the roller coaster but cool to get the visual :) When was kids day? I probably should know but I don't.
