Christmas Festivities

I told you my shopping was complete before December 1st. That means it's time for seasonal fun.
Here's the first participant.

Mr. Curious. Please don't ever grown up.

Doing a little decorating (or undecorating). I'll let you decide.

3 extra uses for Tinsel (that you probably didn't know).
Peek-A-Boo!

Strangulation/Tickling

Scarving (if that's even a word. Haha)

We flaked out on the Gingerbread House this year and made personalized sized cookies.

We attended the Nativity at Heritage Park (an annual event)

We attended on a mild temperature evening but still made sure we dressed warm for comfort.
Quinten and Colby had their School Christmas Concert on a Wednesday. We had terrible seats for the twins performance. Hence, why there are no pictures to document it.
Natually, Will presented with his class on the next evening. Thursday. We were sure to pick better seats the second time around.

Logan had an afternoon band concert.

The humor of the concert came when his Basketball Coach was asked to conduct the band.

The performers knew this wasn't going to go very well.

Logan found humor in it.

With all these festivities one particular fellow missed a number of naps and made late arrivals to his bed in the evening. Here he is, bright eyed....but VERY tired.

I'm not sure whether he was run down, or teething. But regardless, there were 3 nights where he could only sleep sitting up against my chest. 3 very cherished nights for me.

Sadie sang at the Church Christmas dinner.

Sadie is on the far right hand side of a large line of Sunbeams. Meaning, this group of children are ALL the same age and attend church with Sadie. Seems like a wonderful opportunity to find a friend.

Little did these kids know, their song called in Santa Claus! I captured Sadie's first glimpse.

We arrived home at 10pm after helping clean up the church. What does a tired 18 month old do? Not whine or run for his bed. Instead, he turns on a fan and practices his vocalizations. If you haven't ever done it, you should try. The louder the better. As you can see.

Chase loves the tricks his older brothers teach him. It's a proud moment in his late night routine.

Sadie's performance is not over until we attend her school performance on the same Saturday that we have 3 basketball games. It was a crazy day. Luckily, the scheduling allowed all her brothers to be in attendance for her performance.

The kids sang Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa surprised everyone!

We also said farewell to our cousin Declan who is totally outdoing us by leaving to backpack in Columbia. Before he left we had to treat him to an early first birthday gift.

This picture was taken the day that Sadie and I attended the Nutcracker Ballet. It was such a wonderful day which brought a great feeling of Christmas and wonderful memories of other times I attended as a young girl.
